The pathfinder mayor of Limbe I council has done it again. She was awarded best female mayor of the year by the Cameroon English language newspapers publishers association CENPA for giving meaning to female leadership in president Biya new decentralization vision by providing social basic amenities and promoting social cohesion in the Limbe I municipality
Initially named Victoria, founded by Alfred Saker in 1858, the town was renamed in May 16, 1982, to “Limbe”, derived from the main river that flows through the town. The council is found in Bota quarters
